The Associazione Regionale Abruzzese (ARA) of Delaware Valley is dedicated to preserving the Abruzzese heritage for the hundreds of Italian-Americans who emigrated to the Philadelphia Area from the region of Abruzzo, located in central Italy. We have dedicated the past fifteen years to reviving the Abruzzese spirit and culture for our members, our children and our ancestors.

Our mission is to help the Abruzzese who left their region to rediscover their roots and to pass down our cultural traditions and stories of our ancestry to our children and grandchildren.

Our organization offers our members and their families the opportunity to preserve and share in the unique Abruzzese traditions through our various events and community activities. ARA events are fun-filled and educational, providing for celebrations rich in tradition and comprehensive information on the culture, history and traditions of the Abruzzo region.
